Gledson Castro | Arquitect

Gledson Castro

Architecture entered Gledson’s life through hard work. From a young age, he helped his father, a carpenter and sculptor, and already had an affinity for drawing and creating. His journey took him through city hall, the urban planning department, and an asphalt company. At 17, after purchasing drafting materials, he set up a small office in his mother’s house and enrolled in the Architecture program in Dourados, where he graduated in 1997. In 1999, he opened the firm Gledson Marques Arquitetura and gradually built a solid career.

Magnun’s journey in architecture began in woodworking, where he designed furniture. “My father owned a carpentry and sawmill business. As a teenager, I worked in a carpentry shop and always liked technology, so I took an AutoCAD course.” At the end of college, he asked Gledson for an internship, and in 2015, they partnered to create Studio Castro Arquitetura. Later, Gledson and Magnun discovered they were cousins—and have always worked in harmony, sharing the same style.

An architect and urban planner trained at USP, the newest member of the Studio joins the team with great responsibility and a desire to learn from the experience of his elders. For him, “more important than bringing innovation is listening to those with experience and learning from it.”

With 27 years of dedication to each project, Studio Castro is one of the most traditional architecture firms in Dourados. Under the leadership of partners Gledson Marques de Castro, Magnun de Castro, and the newest member João Pedro de Castro (Gledson’s son), the Studio works in harmony, bringing beauty to its projects and turning clients’ dreams into reality.

“The essence of our office is always thinking about who will use the space. The family is the priority—it’s not just about the project. We enjoy creating designs that bring peace, family harmony, and functionality tailored to each client,” emphasizes Gledson.

Studio Castro Arquitetura has signed major projects in several Brazilian states, such as Hectares Park &Resort, becoming a symbol of quality and dedication. “Architecture is a field that demands love and dedication above all else,” adds João. Gledson also highlights the firm’s growth: “Today, the studio is more mature, and everything we take on is carefully selected. We focus on what truly matters, with simplicity and functionality.”
